Accelerated Support Plan (ASP)
APS Saturday Academy
Grades 3-8

The Saturday Academy is an academic support program designed to provide opportunities for students in grades 3–8, who need additional support with deepening their application and understanding of mathematics and/or developing grade level literacy skills outside of the traditional academic day.

Students who extend their learning beyond the traditional school day find more academic success and are better prepared to meet and exceed their grade level requirements based on the Georgia Performance Standards. We are excited about providing your child with an opportunity to participate in the Saturday Academy and look forward to partnering with you for their continued academic growth.

While we are committed to assisting students that may have been affected by the findings uncovered during the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s investigation, the Saturday Academy allows us to provide support for all students who may need assistance meeting or exceeding academic standards.
Timeline
The Saturday Academy will run from January 28, 2012 until May 19, 2012, following the schedule below:
  • Elementary School Saturday Academy: 9:30 am – 1:00 pm*
  • Middle School Saturday Academy: 9:30 am – 1:00 pm*
